Sorry for the complete lack of updates recently, folks. It's just been insanely busy, as always!
So what's new with Australia's manga community for 2010?

We're pleased to announce the return of founding father Kenny Chan. Kenny's taken a back seat role over the last couple of years to deal with his professional development and new family members (Hi, Leon!), but is now ready to resume the reins.
Just in time too, because Avi is going into overdrive looking for a new job thanks to all kinds of managerial awkwardness at his last one at that IT company. Thankfully (?), it had nothing to do with sexual harassment on anyone's behalf, and he can actually blame Canada.
The OzTAKU WebComic project has hit another delay, but should be ready soon-ish... again.. It'll happen one day!
But the big news?
DoujiCon is back on!
And it's going to be more awesome than ever! DoujiCon IV: Attack of the Homophones promises to bring you all of the douji action you were expecting from it, plus more!
Not only will there be the largest assortment of independent and local comic and manga artists to gather in any one place, ready and willing to talk to you (read: sell you their work), there will also be the usual assortment of classes, workshops and fun activities...
But wait, there's more! Whilst you won't recieve a free set of steak knives for calling in the next 15 minutes, you will get free entry to Minifest as part of the bargain! Hot cosplayers, video games, and anime screenings are now under the same roof, and still with nary a professional vendor trying to get you to buy Spiderman underpants or soft plastic Naruto branded shuriken.
Indeed, 2010 is looking to be an exciting year for all things OzTAKU! We hope you stay and be a part of it ^_^
