2008 was a bit stagnant for OzTAKU. Things are going to go in a different direction this year.
Classes are going to be at the forefront of our promotional activities for a start. So, if you live in Victoria, we're hoping to do one at a library/school near you! We will also be creating kits to send to artists interstate that are interested in some part time work. If you're interested, we'll post something about it in the jobs section shortly. More than likely, we're also going to have Super Happy Fun Manga course sometime in the second half of the year. More on that later.
Unfortunately, DoujiCon is not going on during 2009. This doesn't have anything to do with Avi's Manifest involvement (as previous roles there have been just as demanding), but rather as it was just such a huge budget blow out in 2008 
Social activities are also going to get a shot in the arm. The much vaunted idea of a Social Coordinator in each city is actually going to go ahead.
Oh yeah, and we'll actually get back to publishing stuff... Kinda forgot about that last year... *cough*
